The recently completed Raffles City Hangzhou (RCH) is without doubt an iconic beacon in the new riverside CBD in Hangzhou.

Located in Qianjiang New Town (钱江新城), the design by architects UNStudio is a mega-scale mixed used development comprising two 250m high office/hotel/residential towers, a 10-storey shopping podium, and a 3-level basement (total GFA of 393,000m2). The landmark twisted towers are a sculptural play of towers dancing with each other. The podium architectural massing is equally complex with double-curved surfaces.

Arup delivered total engineering services in the project including Structural, Building Services, Building Sustainability and Fire Engineering. The development also gained Gold Label of LEED Core & Shell 2.0 certification.
