Synopsis:

Situated on the banks of the Lam Tsuen River, the Tai Po Tung Cheong Street Leisure Building is a new 5-storey multifunction development which provides a wide range of leisure, sports facilities and a community Hall in meet the demands for the strong demand for community facilities arising from the increasing population. The Main Building (Sports Centre & a Community Hall) is the focal point of the development, the whole facilities cover a site area of 2.34 hectares including two football pitches atop a new single story basement car park. The external form of the Leisure Building is a humble geometry that maximises the multi-functional usage of the sports centre.

 

About the Speaker:

Ir Henry Wong is a Director of WSP Hong Kong Ltd. He has been working for the firm since 1994 and he is the project director in charge of Tai Po Tung Cheong Street Leisure Building project. Mr. Wong has over 29 years of experience in high-rises, large scale public facilities, commercial, residential, educational campus development, pre-cast prestress and MiC construction on major projects across China, Hong Kong, Macau and Middle East. He is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (MHKIE), a Registered Professional Engineer (RPE) and member of Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE).

 

Ir Dennis Lee is a Technical Director of WSP Hong Kong Ltd. He has been working for the firm since 2014 and he is the project manager in charge of Tai Po Tung Cheong Street Leisure Building project. Mr. Lee has over 21 years of solid experience in engineering design and project management. He has worked on various high-profile and award-winning projects, which includes planning and delivery of large-scale mixed-use developments across China, Hong Kong, Macau and Saipan. He is a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (MHKIE), a Registered Professional Engineer (RPE) and member of Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE).
