NOTICE OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of the Structural Division will be held on Friday, 10 May 2024 at 6:00pm at the HKIE Headquarters, 9/F Island Beverley, No 1 Great George Street, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, for the following purposes:

1. To receive and confirm the Minutes of the AGM for Session 2022/2023.

2. To receive and adopt the Annual Report of the Division for Session 2023/2024.

3. To receive and adopt the Financial Statement of the Division for Session 2023/2024.

4. To elect the Chairman and Ordinary Members of the Division Committee for Session 2024/2025.

5. To elect the Council Member (Division) for Sessions 2024/2025 and 2025/2026.

In case of adjournment of the AGM, members of the Division shall check on the Institution’s website at http://www.hkie.org.hk and the Division’s website at http://hkie-st.org/ of the revised venue, time and date for the adjourned AGM.

Nominations for Division Chairman and Ordinary Members (Division)

Division Chairman

The outgoing Division Committee has decided to nominate Ir CHIN Sai Ping for election as the Chairman for Session 2024/2025.

No other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline.

Ordinary Members – under Clause 7.2(c) of the Division Rules

The outgoing Division Committee has decided to opt for the maximum of 14 Ordinary Members, and six Ordinary Members in the Committee shall retire by end of the Session, namely Ir Dr Paul LAM Heung Fai, Ir Simon WONG Kin Kwok, Ir Alexis LEE Chi Chuen, Ir Alvin LAI Ho Cheong, Ir Jacky WONG Woon Ki and Ir Dr Ray SU Kai Leung.

Following the retirement of the above Ordinary Members, there are seven vacancies for the Ordinary Members.

The Division Committee has decided to nominate the following seven candidates for the Ordinary Members for a three-year term: Ir Dr Paul LAM Heung Fai, Ir Alexis LEE Chi Chuen, Ir Jacky WONG Woon Ki, Ir Rayson WONG Wai Hung, Ir Victor CHAN Wai Tong, Ir Kylie LAM Nga Yan and Ir Dennis YUEN Yat Chung.

No other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline.

Council Member (Divison)

The outgoing Division Committee has decided to nominate Ir Albert TAM A Ray for election as the Council Member (Division) for Sessions 2024/2025 and 2025/2026.

No other nomination has been received from members by the nomination deadline.
